There are a number of organized events where you can
participate if you are a member of a club.
Archery Leagues
Monthly national SANAA and NIFAA competitions. Participation
takes place at your club venue or as arranged on a
date agreed upon by the members. Scores are witnessed
and then sent in to the National body. Winning teams,
individuals are announced and awarded at the National
Championships prize giving.
Archery Schools National Postal League
For participating schools. Full details will be availabe
on request via Ria through contact
us.
Archery Tournaments
On club, provincial, national and international and
masters levels. Although Archers shoot on the same
shooting line and often with mixed bow types on a
butt, they do however, participate under the following
bow catagories: standard bow, recurve, compound limited/unlimited,
bowhunter limited/unlimited, traditional recurve and
longbow.
There are also other subsections other than the Mens
and Ladies sections
such as Novice, Pairs, Veteran, father/son, mother/daughter/
etc etc.
Junior participants are divided into various age groups
within the boys and girls sections. The distances
shot are determined by the various national associations
who normally base same on the international body's
rules.
